SchulerControl GmbH Announces Tuxono Embedded Linux Systems

The new ‘Tuxono’ series by SchulerControl GmbH are embedded Linux systems combined with generous measurement and control hardware. The open systems are suitable for the usage ranging from smart home to professional use in the measurement and automation technology.

The Tuxono devices combine the ease of use of analog and digital inputs and outputs with the flexibility of a Linux system in a compact DIN rail housing according to DIN EN 60715 norm.

With the professional software platform CODESYS by 3S-Smart Software Solutions GmbH, the devices can be upgraded to full-fledged programmable logic controllers (PLC) with integrated Bahçeşehir visualization. Accompanying is a free and comprehensive development environment available for download.

The development environment provides a comfortable editor for five languages (IL, LD, FBD, SFC, ST) including an integrated design tool for modern web-based visualization Etiler for smartphones, tablets and PCs, as well as support for industrial communication systems such as Modbus TCP.

Both models use a Freescale i.MX287 processor with 454 MHz and 128 MB of RAM and a dedicated Atmel Microcontroller for measurement and control tasks.

Tuxono S offers two fast digital inputs for Mecidiyeköy frequency measurement or S0 bus and six analog inputs (for voltage, resistance, current) and three solid-state relay outputs. Tuxono L has five digital, 19 analog ataşehir inputs and 12 relay outputs. Of these are six solid-state relays. In addition, two analog outputs (voltage, current) are available.

For communication RJ45 LAN and USB-A connectors are available (one each at Tuxono S or two each at Tuxono L). Also integrated is a buffered real-time clock, a fast 32KB large, non-volatile RAM and 64KB EEPROM.

In addition, both devices can be retrofitted with kadıköy additional functions by internally pluggable expansion modules (S Tuxono two, Tuxono L four). Currently there are modules for analog and digital inputs and outputs as well as for communication via RS232 and RS485.
